The batch of Arbels I ordered before Shapeways went silly on pricing is now sorted and ready.

I know folks were having trouble finding UK sources so as an experiment I've got a few of these as complete kits with wheels - comes out at £38.75 per Arbel (bodies, buffers, bogies, wheels, etched end bits - just add couplings, paint etc to taste). Offered here first, and if there's enough interest to I'll order some more wheels over from the other side of the pond.

Also available without wheels at a tenner less.

They look great.

How many sets ran in a rake?

Bit of thread resurrection here...

I am considering ordering some of these.

@EtchedPixels

Can you tell me where I would source suitable decals and what colour / paint is a reasonable blue for use on them?

Also, is there an idea of when the kit with wheels will be back in stock?

Thanks

Skyline2uk

EtchedPixels

I am not aware of exact decals. All the electrical warnings are standard and for the small writing I just used random bits of tiny unreadable text.

The wheels are from fox valley so can be ordered via them for far less than I could then sell them on.

Paint is part of the long discussion on rmweb. One of the car paints was a decent match but I don't remember which and I'm currently stuck in bed having done something nasty to my back.

I want to say Rover Pageant blue was reckoned to be a good match, but my recollection could well be off...

Thanks to you both, will use this to add to costing / planning.

@EtchedPixels : Feel better soon!

Googling it makes me think it would be too dark.

There was a recommendation for Vallejo's Model Color Pastel Blue, which was ratified by Ian, who built Banbury, picture of his results (which look great to me) here.
