Colin is back - in the last 24 hours I've had email correspondence with him and have spoken to him on the phone.

Looking forward to seeing a green GWR one. Will definitely get either the GWR one or the BR black. Just can't decide which one until I've seen them both. Thanks for posting these photos!

Cheers, NeMo

A new visitor to Tremierten

Heaven can wait......

Mr H has done a lovely job there for sure. The only thing I would do is shorten that loco to tender wire (I do tend to on my UM models anyway) it is just so obtrusive especially with such an open cab.

Already done - I just pulled the excess back into the tender

I certainly can, thanks. That may well be good enough to pull a few summer specials from the Midlands and Taunton to Bournemouth West in 1930, so I should probably add it to my own 'wants' list.

Is it me, or is this tender longer wheelbase-wise & lower than Colin's traditional tenders?
Real nice loco though..

I was wondering the same thing. Hard to be sure if it's that or the low tender and more open frames creating that illusion.

Either way a lovely looking loco. Have to say based on pics my preference is the BR black one which really does capture the workaday look of an 0-6-0 like this.

Another loco that the "big boys" would likely never touch in N and also one our fellow 00 modellers don't have currently available RTR - well done Colin H.

Now how about that D34 or a J36 next? (Pleeeaase!!!).

(Plus a crash course in hardwiring chips!!).

Now that you have seen the loco ,I have tested it on my layout and as expected it runs well, just need to put some crew in and maybe a lamp. The livery is very shiny may need weathering. :thankyousign:

I think it already a success,I`d like one in shirtbutton which he indicated he might produce. City of Truro now that would be good, lets hope Dapol don`t produce one. :worried:

Is Colin back? as I have still not received a reply to an email sent to him over a week ago regarding parts & an order.

Thought I would let you know that Colin has been in touch, apologised for the delay in replying to my email as he has been very busy shipping out Deans Goods orders.

I leave for Chester tomorrow and have just placed an order with Colin to be sent to my son's Chester address as that will probably be quicker & simpler than having it sent to Tenerife.

Seems I always get the timing wrong with my U.K. visits as I have just missed some local model railway shows and there are no more till after I have returned home.
