hey

has anyone ever bought baseboard kits?

I know it's a bit lazy but thinking I might just get a baseboard kit to assemble for another layout I have planned... seems easier to me...

can anyone recommend a good supplier?

something sturdy, on legs, elegant looking woodwork, easy to join two or three sections together...

cheers

I can second MRS. I have a built 6' x 3' MRS board lent outside under the lean-to - no room for it since we moved. I was happy enough with it and the customer service was very good. I really should put it in the Nporium Free section.

I'm looking into getting the next boards custom laser cut.

I've got a couple of Grainge and Hodder boards:

As well as the standard sizes, they will do custom boards as well - mine are.

Easy enough to put together, nice and light when built.

Another vote for Model Railway Solutions, since early September they have also taken over the shop of Platform Models (at the same location).

I've got one of the turntable traversers from Grainge and Hodder. Excellent piece of kit.  Very well made and very light.  Absolutly perfect.

Neely uses 9 MRS baseboards.  It was a good choice.
