Here is a link to a folder where you can view other members layout plans.  You may also add yours to aid others if you wish.

more plans please!!!!

I think the intent is that the plans are of layouts that exist/have been built, so we can coo over the goodliness of success and get some insight into problems arising?

What an excellent idea ! I've drawn up loads of plans over the years so I'll be adding quite a few soon...

I've added mine and updated my layout thread. See also http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=3013.msg164844 for more description.

I believe the idea of the thread is for layouts that have come to/are coming to fruition such that any difficulties and resolutions to problems can be shown, along with any tips that can be given, rather than a thread full of 'head plans' :hmmm:

No probs, I have built a few of the plans so i'll just add those.
I do feel a plan database/thread could be useful, especially the smaller plans for newcomers.

Well done Tank a great addition to the forum  I have to add though I agree with Newportnobby, that additional information is needed about the individual layouts that are featured.  For anyone wishing to build any of the layouts a bonus would be for the designer to specify what track software (if any) was used and the file which could be downloaded.

I've added the 'visulisations' for both Cant Cove and Penmayne together with the trackplans for both. However, the details are still being adjusted. Construction of Cant Cove is due to start this year (I hope this Easter) whilst Penmayne is rather further in the future. However, I have a Working Time Table and much of the rolling stock to cover 1960s to (at a push) 1980s operations so they are definite plans rather than 'pipedreams'! 8-)

Could members give their plans a name  rather than "My track plan"?   :unimpressed:

I like the idea of this folder, always interested in how other people come up with designs for their layout, but unfortunately the folder seems to have lost its way a bit and now is full of all  sorts of assorted pictures of anything and everything, any chance of it having a bit of a spring clean and going back to being purely plans and diagrams?

Oh no, not again.  I can't understand why it happens.  Will clean it up when I can, unless a Moderator wants to volunteer?   ;D

Already done mate ;)

I can't understand why it happens.

I can, it's called "one particular member using this folder for every picture they've ever uploaded" ::)
