You can't paste a picture from Wikimedia, you would have to upload it to your own album or use something like Photobucket  ;)

I think this is the one you mean:

cheers John.

PA'S  of any  paInt  esp  U.P.  ATSF  & D&H   are favorites,   E7 for their   front  lower nose shaping &  E8's always strike a chord.

Deisel freight the   RS1   is nice  along with /the SD40  &  SD60 / 70's

I happen to have Kato  PA's in the  paints mentioned above  all  DCC   mind  i'm  not married   ;)

I have a couple of SD40-2 locos painted Santa-Fe - their no nonsense, workmanlike design makes them sort of beautifully ugly !!!

I do like the NY cigar stripe scheme however, I do have a thing for the  Doodlebug in B&O Olive green but my favourite has to be the F3 in B&O blue  :D

I thought this thread would be a straight Alco vs EMD fight... but i'd forgotten how diverse the US diesel fleet is !
So with that in mind I think a list your favourites would be better...

Here's my list of favourites -

EMD                 Alco           GE         Fairbanks Morse    Baldwin
GP7                 RS1           U23B      C-Liner                  RF-16 (Sharknose)
GP20               RSD1         45T        H10-44
GP30               C420         70T
SD7                 PA1
F40PH             FA1
                       S4

Here's a few pic's of my loco's (I haven't got many of my own real photo's, so models will have to do...)

Walthers/Lifelike Alco FA1

Kato EMD F40PH

Atlas GP30

If it's got rails... you have my full, undivided attention - Steam, diesel and electric, 'tis all good !
