I would put the yard light to the right of the goods shed where it will illuminate the loading bay but won't get in the way of lorries.

I'm with PP....the loading bay would be lit by lights inside the goods shed or under the canopy, but the crane area would need to be lit for early/late in the day winter working

  little update , iv added some trees I made using woodlands scenic foliage ,order a yard light, just bits and pieces to go then I think this layout is done  :thumbsup: cheers bob

Thanks for the photo update. Very nice scenic modelling. (Please, do paint the bases of the lamps to match the road surface though as this will make them look even better.)
