Now you're gettin' the hang of it, stevieboy!

Nothing wrong with posting comparison pics, either. It's good to see how things have improved. When I get the time I'll post some of my old blood and custard Mk 1s - they're not even the right colour!!!

Keep up the good work -Green is Go!

I thought I was, then last night my 3mt decided to lock up and the class 24 has lost lighting at one end. I've tried adjusting the contacts but it's not worked.

  :'(

Back to the shop for them both

stevieboy

Swift service by Rails and i'm the proud owner of a replacement class 24.

However, I also came away with a late crest WD Austerity as watching it run on the test track showed how well these run. After my recent run of luck I was never going to pass the opportunity of a perfect runner.

I'm gradually replacing my older Farish poole built locos, sold off 11 of them so far!  :uneasy:
But the good news is I've been replacing them, these 2 arrived from Hattons the other day, I've run them both in, they run nice & smooth & nicely detailed, much better than the old Farish ones so I'm happy!  :claphappy:

:D Well spotted! Yes, I re-numbered one as 37 257 as I didn't want both with the same number.
I used Fox transfers & just changed the 4 to a 7 although I've noticed the fox transfer digit is very slightly smaller than the original printing for some strange reason which is a bit annoying!

Your 37s look great and IMO the newer ones are well and truly up to the great running qualities of the American locos.
Keep on Smiling

Lovely locos. Glad to hear they are nice runners, too. I like the way you changed the number so you don't have two the same. I'm on the hunt for one too, but guess what colour.........

The WD is now run in, so I thought a photo would be in order. I actually felt a bit silly running it in as from the box it was perfect.

I was semi coaxed into buying this by the OH as I was unsure, really glad I got it now though.
