Newbie from Cheshire - Returning to N Gauge
« on: February 21, 2018, 05:37:45 pm »
A note to say hi. I am returning to N Gauge modelling after about 30 years, to help balance a stressful job. I am Cheshire based and keen to find local groups or like minded N Gauge enthusiasts to learn from and chew the fat.

As I progress in my reduction and learning (Wow there is sooo much) I will post, share and no doubt beg for help

Regards

Coolh4nd

Hi c00lh4nd and welcome to the forum. As Caz says, there are some very knowledgeable people on 'ere!  I have to ask though, why c00lh4nd?  ??? All I can think off is 'coolhand' - are you called Luke?  :)

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Hi, and welcome to the forum
Another guess about your forum name. Did you model 'the bigger gauge' at one time e.g. you have 00 and 4(mm?) in the name c00lh4nd?
(Coolhand Luke was a damned good film, though)

I really would suggest you consult 'the collective' before you start spending your hard earned money as much has changed since you were last in N

Hi,

Cheshire is a big county!! If you are anywhere near Chester there are two N Gauge Society area groups over there. Also there is the SK group centred on Stockport ( I am the organiser for this one).
See  http://newweb.ngaugesociety.com/?page_id=207tp and http://newweb.ngaugesociety.com/?page_id=235 . Strictly speaking you should be a member of the NGS to join one of these groups, but a small number of visits as a guest are in order.

Norman
