I had one of these when Dapol were selling them off at 25 a pop. Ultimately repainted it into BR blue, but this Freightliner livery is actually rather lovely. Understated, but suits the loco really well. There's a Class 90 that I see periodically still running in this livery -- or at least was a couple of years ago.

Cheers, NeMo

Been buying lots over the past months, with these two being my standout buys.

Graham Farish 371-171 Class 37 421 Colas bought new from TrackShack. I think Colas has to be my favourite livery right now and you gotta love 37s!

Gaugemaster / Dapol DAGM221 Class 66 711 'Sence' GBRf Aggregate Industries bought new from Gaugemaster.

My favourite Tokyo basement purveyor of overseas 2nd hand N gauge has recently re-evaluated some of its overpriced stock, and this very battered pantograph-less and immobile Dapol 86 was had for a tenner or so...

dapol-86606 by Rail Squid, on Flickr
It will serve as a test bed for Dapol loco restoration techniques, or at worst as a parts donor.

Could you use it as a dummy 86's still run in pair on FLT trains

This Class 55 from Hatton's pre-owned, just arrived here in California:

Sorry for the bad picture.  Here's the picture Hatton's took of it before I bought it:
https://www.hattons.co.uk/302073/Graham_Farish_371_287_LN03_Class_55_Deltic_55005_The_Prince_of_Wales_Own_Regiment_of_Yorkshire_in_BR_Blue_/StockDetail.aspx

For a discount price of 83.  And even though "like new" it did require a little sorting out!  But then again, I've bought a few of these in the past over the years and unfortunately every one of them went back.  One had lights that didn't work, another just sat on the track and smoked, a couple others had glaring paint or other finish flaws - my luck with these locos has been the worst of any model I have ever tried to buy.

This one is a little noisy but it runs well, the lights all work, and it doesn't have scratch marks on the body side.  Did anyone else notice that Hatton's raised the price of their remaining blue ones from 93 to 106 Tuesday night?  They even raised their green Pinza's sale price from 69 to 75!  I'm glad to have finally gotten one that's right at a price I was willing to pay.

106?  Supply and demand, I know.  But 106?  Really?  They are the same new old stock models that have been in the Barwell warehouse for the past 3 or 4 years.  Nothing has changed except the price!

Having recently declared that my layout is set in the summer of '63 I have just moved forwards about four years. This is s bit of a mix and match purchase. I bought a rake of blue and grey coaches (still need two more) and then bought a  fully decorated cat B blue Western body from DCC supplies. As I had three Martin Western I decided to repaint one of them blue to go with this body. As the chassis is weathered any difference in the shade of blue is hidden.
I then cane across a secondhand maroon Warship at a price I couldn't refuse so bought that as well. This has a small yellow panel and is a duplicate of one I already had but I had a spare maroon with full yellow end Warship body. Thus I have two new locos which are not quite totally new. It all ends to the variety of my hydraulic collection.

If I had a new item of stock for every time I've used that one...

Well 45 and by the look of the wheels and underside she is very low mileage, if any.

The Western body was cat C because one of the nameplates was hanging off - not exactly a difficult repair. I'm so glad people return locos for such issues.

Got a load through today! Wickness models sent me a DCC fitted 90 that I'd bought on Ebay and had sent straight to him, I also got my society purchase, 2 BR Black snowploughs, and the royal pair.

also 10 of the new tanker wagons by peco for NGS!

Is that the class 90 that went for 49.88?

I don't think so. I think i bought this one nearly a year ago. Unfortunately Douglas has been super busy and I had some delays of my own in getting this sorted.

For once I was actually in the house when postman arrived and could happily take delivery of my first new tooling class 47.

No prices for guessing my choice of livery...

Running in is going well (though showing up my dirty track), but couldn't resist a posed photo with my new MK2s. Bonus marks for Bachfar colour matching.
