As per title please. I'm after a rake of Pullman coaches with interior lighting, a-la the Bachman OO items but in N gauge. Do such things exist or will I have to get the dremel and airbrush out? A kit to build my own would also be fine.
Thanks
Dom.

Do you have a picture of and/or link to the OO ones you mean?

Graham Farish sell Pullman coaches, but I don't think they have interior
lighting. AFAIK GF don't do lighting in any coaches.

Do you mean these ones...?

...which are currently available from here:

...but do not have interior lighting (as far as I know).

..or do you mean these ones...?

...which have been out of production for well over 30 years...
...but are available here:

...but at quite a price (I've previously bought these at less than half the price, at various model railway shows, on the second-hand stalls).

I should perhaps say that "other online retailers are available...". :D

Hope this helps the discussion...

Thanks chaps. So using a phone rigjt now and cant easily find the links.

In OO both Bachmann and Hornby do the Pullmans with working table lamps. I also see that Bachmann do Gresleys in N gauge with optional light bars to fit.  But they don't appear to make Pullman coaches, only Gresley teaks and various BR era versions.

I'll post some links when I get home. Currently up to my neck in moving the layou I bought  :claphappy:

Not sure I've seen the table lamps lit separately in British N.  Pretty sure Arnold and Hobbytrain have done that in European stock.

I think the Brighton Belle has working table lamps (mine still in its box from new!) but I'm pretty certain no others offer that.

The idea of lighting coaches has always been a 'want to' for me but the per coach cost is a bit steep when you're on a budget. Dapol of course offer some of their range as 'Lightbar Ready' but don't think GF offer anything similar.

You may need to hunt around a bit to get a full GF rake but they are still out there

Enjoy your new layout and hope you find what you are looking for.

Ok. These are the Hornby OO units

And the Dapol in N, just not Pullman's. The light bar is about another tenner.

The Dapol ones are overhead lighting as well, probably because finding LEDs small enough for the table lamps in N gauge might be a challenge.

No problem: 0402 surface mount LEDs are less than 1mm square - I've used them pre-wired for beacons on emergency vehicles etc.  The trick would be not to drive them too brightly, it needs to be a subtle effect. To be honest something like table lamps would probably be done with concealed larger LEDs and plastic light guide.
