I have a Farish Class 220 Voyager which after years of storage seem to have symptoms of a split gear. Is this fixable or should I throw it in the skip?

Given how rare they are, you have plenty of options

If the item has been in storage, how likely are you to use it?

I would suggest you obtain at least two quotes for repair
You are probably look at £15 in parts, £20 in labour, and £20 in postage

If you have no plans to use it again, then sell as "Sold as seen" / "Not working"
It should sell for at least £70

At risk of a hijack where's the best place to actually get replacement axles? I've also got a Voyager (and a 90, and a 66) with split gears. BR Lines seems to do the gears themselves, but where can you just get replacement axles with gears?

Mjkerr, not sure whos postage you use  it ouch!
As the item is valued over £20, it needs to go Royal Mail Special Delivery
So that is £8.25 there and £8.25 back, plus materials and travel to/from Post Office

Certainly don't 'skip' it! :o

Can't remember what I paid to get mine fixed (BR Lines) but it wasn't expensive. Just took a long time as Bob always has a long waiting list.
