Darlington works
« on: July 15, 2017, 10:37:44 pm »
I'm not sure if this will work as it was posted on Facebook. This should be a link to the video.

I can't test it so if it doesn't work, can the mods delete it please?
I'm not sure if life is passing me by, or trying to run me over.

Works for me, too, and I'm not on Facebook either.

Thanks for posting, Malc... I always think of Darlington as my home town even though we didn't move there until I was 11 years old. But I lived there until I left home at 20, and some of my family still live nearby today. From '67 to '76 I used to pass North Station nearly every day on the way to school or to visit my gran. I always was, and still am, proud of Darlington's railway heritage even while I was - and am - ignorant of the details.

I wasn't sure if it would work as it was posted to a closed group on Facebook, Friends of the Stockton and Darlington Railway. A great group if, like I have, a connection to the town.
I'm not sure if life is passing me by, or trying to run me over.

Thanks for the link Malc.
She who must be obeyed says I am spending too much time on this forum. I love her dearly but what does she know?

I was born there - lived in Allen Street, by the side of the East Coast main line.

I just watched that again, Malc. Love it!

One of my favourite bits is near the end when there is a string of green DMUs in the background!

Great video.  :beers:
