No matter how careful I was, drips were always a risk!

Being a drip, I can vouch that I'm a danger :help:

Talking of drips, hot solder in the eye was always a good one, working under the baseboard with a soldering iron.

Until I  discovered safety glasses, that is  :uneasy:

You did that more than once!? HOW!?

Because the wires to be soldered were above me head  :-[

The closest I've been to a major injury using tools was when I was drill a small hole in a wall IIRC 5mm and the drill bit broke. One bit stayed in the wall, one bit in the drill and the third bit bounced back and cut me just under the eye.
Over the years I've had lots of small burns, cuts and bruises, but nothing worth reporting here.

The burns from trying to solder under model railway layouts are why my new layout is having all the wiring / servos taken to the front or back, and the inherited layout can be lifted onto its side..

I just use tap splices under the layout!

Unfortunately I'm talking about the late 1980s here and I was using materials on hand such as staples for connection points and making the wiring up as I went along.

Fun, though!
