'Ensbury' Gardens Open Day.
« on: July 05, 2017, 02:08:07 pm »
'Ensbury' Gardens Open Day.

We at Bexhill MRC have been updating the end of the club layout ‘Ensbury’ that covers the exit/entry to the Down Line fiddle yard.

The original Town of terraced houses, shops and church was built as a diorama but later donated to the group for the scenic break on the layout.

In order to cover the whole area it was extended and a ‘New Estate’ of 6 pre war semi detached houses was incorporated.

Recent additions have been the ‘meandering’ stream, panel and chain link fencing, and gardens.

We hope that the photos are of interest.

Details of other ‘Ensbury’ features:

Allotments

Garden Centre

Sawmill

Thank you. Colin did the fencing & I did the landscaping. The stream has since been planted with the first of the willows.

Looking good, Have you thought about painting the plastic houses with a brick colour and detailing the cement lines?

Reminds me of when I was growing up on the Burnside Estate and we wouldn't dare venture into the Homelands Estate!

'Ensbury' Gardens Open Day.

A willow tree has appeared overnight (this Growmore is a wonderful thing)

and @Novice41  has weathered the roofs.

PS where has my signature bar gone, have I pushed the wrong button and made it disappear?

Regarding your signature bar, Colin, it's showing up fine here on my phone in Oz, and the layout link works too.  ???

Really lovely, well thought out work.

And I can't see any signatures on my ipad, either.

I wasquite pleased with the scaffolding but not sure if the HSE would passit even though it has kick boards and a safety rail.
