:veryangry: Ive been banned again this year.
I`ts the only race I like to take part in and it seems that every year they ban me.  :'
(they say that I dont qualify because my mobility scooter is battery powered that neither it or me qualifies  for the London Marathon
I think they are being unfair. I mean it only does 6/8mph so I wouldnt win

Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

I reckon it's because the average speed of a jogger is about 5mph so you are likely to mow down slow runners, Jon. I know you like to decorate your scooter with stickers tallying the numbers you have hit but the organisers are onto you.

daffy

I suspect the lawn mower blades you had fitted to make it a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is what ruled you out Jon. :hmmm:

I agree, Jon, they are being jolly mean. Why don't you just join in anyway?

If (God forbid) I should ever need a mobility scooter I would want it painted in lined Brunswick Green with pistons and con-rods attached to the wheels. And an appropriate whistle...

Cheers,

Chris

Sucks. :(
Does sound like a nice news article though.

To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.

I think anyone should be allowed to enter the LM if they are raising funds for a charity it doesn't matter how you do it, but maybe Virgin Money i.e. Richard Branson doesn't want anyone taking the limelight off his company.

Do you remember the guy who walked in that diving suit who took for ever to do it, well some days, i can't remember how long, so what's really the difference how or who. My son-in-law is a runner and this year he has run the LM for me to raise funds for the BHF, for which i will be doing some thing myself this year on a few occasions to raise money for.

Should let people drive it, if they're raising money for charity! May have to wait until most of the runners have cleared the course :laugh3:
