Minitrix Der Alder
« on: May 19, 2016, 06:10:41 pm »
I have a Minitrix Der Alder set I have not used for about 15 years.    On powering it up, the motor is running but the wheels hardly turn, it seems to be slipping on the gears.

Anyone got any idea as to how the coach with the motor in it is stripped down?

I really don't want to damage this, I paid 20 dollars US for this and they seem to go on ebay for more than 200 for the complete set in its presentation box.

I've seen a couple of posts from forum members who have this set, so hopefully they'll see this thread and be able to help.

It's a great little set and much sought after on eBay so would be good to hear you've got it working again.

I had one many years ago. Exactly the same issue happened, but I could not get it fixed...it sat a Gaugemaster for over a year without anybody bothering to look at it, I was finally told 'sorry, can't fix it mate'.  :veryangry:

I suspect there was a broken gear involved, as the motor run fine when tested.

Beautiful little model though,  I hope you manage to get it fixed.

Go to:

http://www.nsesoftware.nl/mtdb/

Select:

Trix

Select minitrix

Scroll down quite a long way to:

 51-1010-00   Der Adler

This gives you the service sheet, including an 'exploded' diagram.

WWW.glasmacher.de may have replacement gears (if that proves to be the problem).
