Looks like there's some really nice models on the way.

It's a very nice model but at the discounted price of 184 I think I'll give it a miss. Can settle with my East German Piko model for now!

I have only now stumbled across this post. I have the Czechoslovak Brejlovec on preorder, but I also find it somewhat pricy. Maybe this is of interest to some of you: a small company from the Czech Republic (MTB) is also going to release a 478.3 this summer, for a much lower price. The details are not quite as good as the Minitrix model, but it still looks nice. Here is a link to MTB's website, which only shows a picture of the loco in the News section so far.

Menzels Lokschuppen, however, have more information and they take preorders:

its worth keeping an eye on the DM-Toys website - the specials tend to turn up there at a reduced price eventually.

The Menzels model also has a Next-18 DCC interface,
Next18 Digitalschnittstelle

There's one more. Kuehn also announced the Rh 750 (ex. T478.3) in N:

(other liveries are available)

I have Kuehn's CD 372 and it's a lovely model, so I'm considering buying the Diesel as well...

Wow, yet another one. One has to wonder how that will turn out, considering manufacturers usually try hard to avoid these "redundant" products, and now there's three coming out in the same year. I had never heard of the Kuehn model before. Looks quite good and the price is quite good. Might give that a try.
