Foster Street - LMS period layout - (available for exhibition)
« on: February 22, 2015, 03:49:36 pm »
Well I have heard lots of good things about this forum, and over the last few weeks dipped in to read some very interesting topics, and to admire some brilliant models. So I thought to myself I wonder if anyone would be interested in my layout, at least to see how things should not be done  :D

My layout portable (breaks down into 3 sections) and has had its exhibition debut in November 2014, despite my near mental breakdown this was a very enjoyable experience and I would like to repeat it.

As for the layout, its based on a secondary line, somewhere in the Northwest, firmly in the LMS era, which gives me an excuse to run my collection of PO's wagons and very grimy freight locomotives, though occasionally you can see the odd maroon locomotive.

So if you would like to know more, I may be persuaded to let you have a glimpse into madness which forms my modelling life

Hi Paul, and welcome to the forum
As one who lives in the north west I'd certainly be glad to see some pics of your layout

Welcome to the forum Paul and as you have already noticed we are not known as the friendly forum for nothing and yes, we'd love to see some pics of your layout and hear more about it.

Chaps thanks for the warm welcome to the forum, as for my layout it's not complete if it ever will be, there are still lots of things to complete. Even though it keeps me out of trouble, well that's not actually true, it just keeps me in a different type of trouble.

The only thing I need to figure out is how to add pictures on here, and what the bucket of photo's is all about, is that like a bucket of chicken from that well know fried chicken purveyor

There's a quick "how to" at the bottom of most pages.  Select "Media" from the menu, create and album (leave all the settings as is for now) and upload your pictures (not larger that 3Mb but best to reduce the file size to about 500k for faster loading).

Once uploaded, create your post and as shown on the quick guide, select the media button immediately above your post (second row, second from the left of icons), find your pic in the album and its done.

Caz

Brilliant thanks for the help, I will try to upload a picture now, but please don't complain about the quality of the modelling.

Well I think I have created an album, and uploaded a picture, but I think the moderator needs to approve first??

Looks good, Paul, but just the one pic?
Did you use the 'Mass Upload' feature?
You can click on 'Media' > 'My Albums' > select your album, and then on the toolbar you will see the 'Mass Upload' option
