I have a Graham Farish n gauge Wooton Hall model that is troubling me. It has the unmodified hall numbers and tender, but a modified hall locomotive. Could someone fill me in on this design choice?  :helpneededsign:

Your very right, the Graham Farish model is based on a modified hall although they did run with older style tenders.
The picture in the link will show you.

The Hawksworth tenders are available as kits that are designed to fit on the Farish tender.
I'm not sure about the locomotive number but the we can clearly see in the link that the number on the smokebox door begins with 69xx.
Does anyone know where we can get GWR locomotive numbers from?

Rob.

this loco lives near me :

6989 was completed on 25 March 1948 at Swindon Works, and was first based at Hereford. The locomotive was withdrawn in June 1964, and sold to Woodham Brothers scrapyard on 17 July 1964. In 1978, the locomotive was purchased by the Quainton Railway Society. It was the 88th engine to leave Barry to go into preservation, and is currently under restoration at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. as for transfers
