Light up signs

[Intercity]

Has anyone been able to make or buy the larger Intercity style station signs with the Intercity lettering and swallow on them, along with the station name.

I remember seeing these all lit up (white background, black lettering) as you pulled into many of the stations.

Just wondering if this will become a scratchbuild project or if there is anything readily available.

Have you got a photo of one? What sort of size were they?  Sounds like shouldn't be too difficult to create one.

I would have thought you could make such an item. You could print your text on to clear acetate sheet, apply a thin coat of white paint to the rear and illuminate with a diffused led, you would have to scratch build the frame too obviously but it certainly would be an interesting project. Probably a bit of trial and error involved getting the paint right, but that is the beauty of such a project, you never know till you try
