Hi all, some more done on the layout. It has been a bit slow going waiting for PVA & paints to dry due to low temperatures in the shed but its getting there slowly.

Cheers, Stu

Hi Stu,

Have only been giving 'thank yous' recently so just wanted to say that the viaduct looks great and am looking forward to your progress to fantastic. I wanted to have a viaduct on my layout but couldn't fit it in. Now that it'll have to be reborn, room will have to be made for one. I love 'em.

Cheers weave  :beers:

PS I think the area you've marked out for the Vollmer 47765 building is a bit over the top  :D.

Hi all, another update. All the ballasting now done, will weather it all once dry.

Very nice ballasting, Stu. I look forward to seeing how you weather the concrete sleepers.

Bit more of an update on the layout. The track ballasting PVA glue has dried out & now the trackwork & ballast weathered with Railmatch sleeper grime done with an airbrush & also by paintbrush.

Trees! I've been making these whenever I have a bit of spare time, usually if it's too cold to be in the shed or I'm waiting for glues to dry on the layout. I'm going to need lots of them! I've decided to go for a late summer/early autumn part of the season with trees just starting to change colour. I've been making my own wire armatures & also using the Woodland Scenics armatures, with polyfibre & various mixes of scatter material glued to them. I also have some seafoam to make smaller trees & to use alongside the ones I'm making. Some photos of the first batch...

Lastly for now my attempt at making a stream & waterfall for the rock face, still work in progress on this...

That's all for now,

Cheers, Stu

That looks good.
Iím impressed with those trees - they look really good and itís pleasing to see some Autumnal colours instead of the usual (and Iím guilty as charged over this) Summer scenes.
