Hi all,
Thanks for the posts and discussions on here. There are quite a lot of forums to try and get round, so thans NIck for giving me a nudge

As stated, I will be opening a website for expressions of interest, pre orders (early payment discount)m and to update general info as we go along.

Aside form the funding (which will come from you guys), everything is pretty much in place. I'm sure you will appreciate that Christmas is not the best time to try and get things done, as businesses wind down, organisations take a break etc.

At the moment, I am awaiting final agreement from the Gresley society with respect to access for 3D scans, and their input on the model. As the owners of the only N2 in preservation, these guys can offer drawings, the loco itself, and tech expertise.

Things are looking fine, we just need to await the next meeting where they will "hopefully" accept the royalties on offer. They have been positive and helpful so far, and I very much expect that to continue.

there are 5000 potential customers here! Thanks for the info.

I will pledge as soon as I get notice that the Website is live but I would suggest that BR late crest is added - that will definitely mean two locos from me and I suspect I am not alone!

I'll be getting a GNR one but I may spring for a LNER version too (depending on how broke I am at the time!).

I'll be in the same boat. Preserved GNR for me and LNER too if spare cash!
Very pleased that this may happen!

I've read the FB page, is the Quadart book set now off the table? I'd have been very interested.

Not 100 % off the table, we are just trying to establish contact with the owners for a 3D scan, and confirm pricing. Everything has slowed right down for xmas, and our contact for the manufacturer has been in China, so not had much time to discuss.
I would certainly like to push ahead with the quadarts even if it is at a later date.

So, today, some pretty cool Line drawings of the N2 have been sent to the manufacturers for a more definitive Tooling and production Quote. I'm hoping to be able to do the same with the Quadarts once I can obtain the drawings.
There is a meeting towards the end of this month to ratify the agreement to access the Locomotive for scans, and get some technical overview to make sure the detail is as good as it can be. I know I know, people want to officially note interest, order, give money etc, but until I am 100% it is nailed on, that is on hold!. We are 99% of the way there though.

I'm starting to drool at these recent reports.  OK I am only in for a BR Black - a surprise visitor to Portpatrick Town!! - but great that things are moving.  Did quadarts run in the Glasgow area?  If so, more money needed.
