Diesel lighting

Hello,

I model mainly steam but have few diesel locos. A DP1 Deltic, a BR maroon Warship and a Dutch liveried class 37, each loco has different lighting.

The Deltic has two lights, the Warship one light and the class 37 three. I originally thought the Warship was faulty but now believe the single light is correct. I tried to do some internet research on diesel lighting but didn't have any luck.

Could fellow forum members suggest a website or explain how diesel lighting has evolved?

Also do the lights now serve as headlights or are they warning lights?

Sounds right to me
In time order

BR Warship, the headcode panel will be illuminated
In reality this panel would have two lamps, but the model only has one
It should also have two red lights

BR Deltic
The two front marker lights giving, two white or two red lights

BR Class 37
Same as above, but with the addition of the high intensity headlamp, although the model doesn't really emphasis this, two white and one headlamp or two red lights
