Just spent about 4 hours at Wakefield exhibition - most of the time around the Grantham Streamliner Years layout. The concept of showing train and loco moves on display boards certainly meets with my approval!
Each move is shown on A4 size flip-over boards and all are easily readable form the outside viewing areas and help the audience to understand what is happening. It is such a large layout that you can easily miss the movement of locos into their correct positions coming on and off their trains.
An expert team of operators made for an extremely enjoyable experience and I think this is the best exhibition that I have attended - being an LNER fan!
