Oh dear.  The links look as if they are equivalent to Facebooks posting direct to post or to an album. Hopefully later today I can try it for myself and see if I get any funny messages.

Portpatrick

now is there a picture here?

Portpatrick

Yes there was a picture.  It is the AEM resin body running on the chinese version chassis of the class 37 (old style)

As to the NGF I have asked before where is Graham Farish and Dapol, Hattons or Rails of Sheffield etc etc?  Love the forum but it is a LONG way off being off the best n gauge forum.

Ouch!

I don't understand what the last quote is about  :confused2:  are there more N gauge forums out there?

Tank,

Don't despair - this forum works for me (and, I'm sure many others) - many thanks!

Best of all it's only N Gauge/2mm.

I was also perplexed by that comment. There are certainly more active forums (better clearly subjective), but not aware of other n gauge forums.

daffy

I wholeheartedly agree with the last two posters.

On my own FB page i have had 50 posts since Friday, here is an example of some post's you may not be getting to see.

There is such a lot to see and read, but would like to see it on the main forum has well.   Happy Modelling.

Ha! Is this a cunning plan to get me to join Facebook  :hmmm:

If I click on your links Steamie it asks me to log in or join first. :D

Happily I resisted the temptation.

Glad to see so many are now discovering how easy it is to post photos here.
Could mark the end of Facebook. :D ;)

Hi Mike, i wouldn't dream of asking anyone to join FaceBook and my point is that it is just a few of the posts that were on my own FB page, it is a reply to a post that said there is not much posted on FB, but i can assure you that there is.

I just want to know why they are not posting on the main forum so other members who don't want or wish to join FaceBook can see their work, because my layouts are on here and my Grandsons i posted on my own page so my family who live all over Lancashire can see what i made for them.

I personally don't like FB and like i have said in my one of my earlier posts, i only joined to keep up with my family who i don't get to see much.

If i could see my family more there would be no need for me to be on FB. All i am asking why will those who post on FB not post on the main forum.   Happy Modelling.

This is how easy it is to post a photo.

Add image to post and upload to gallery.

This is the photo of the weathering station tip.

All i did was copy the original photo off FB to my photos on my Macbook and then clicked the Add image to post and upload to gallery, were it says at the top,

Add Picture,

Underneath there is a box with Title, put a title in that box, i.e. My Loco or what ever you what,

Then in the Category Box there is a drop down icon, click on that and click on Random Photos,

In the Description Box you can put were it was taken or whatever you want again, or just leave it blank, ( I find putting a little word about it helps to find it)

Upload Picture, click choose a file, and it should open your own photo files, click on the photo you want and then click choose it will go back to the Upload Picture screen,

Then click the Add Picture icon and depending on the size of the photo or video it will then say at the top left hand corner Redirecting to page and there you have it, your photo is uploaded.

It is pretty much the same if not the same has FaceBook to upload a photo.

Here are the rest of the photo's i had in my earlier post.

Here are some more from my earlier post,

This is my Favourite.....

I hope i have tried to make it easier for the members who are finding difficult to load photo's, i was finding it just has hard to do it, but then it just clicked and now i find it easier to post photo's here than on FB.

Happy Modelling.     :) :) :) :) :)

daffy

Great pictures Steamie, thanks for posting them here.   Great stuff.

I was joshing about the 'cunning plan' BTW and agree completely with you that it would be great to see more pictures posted here instead of on FB. As I have found, and you have demonstrated, it is easy-peasy (as my grand-daughter says) to post them here.

Let's hope more photos follow from all Forum members in future.

I'd like to think that is the intention all along?  :hmmm:

Here some more photo's, i am getting fed up really of these members who don't show their photo's on here, there is some really great photo's on FB that we are all missing.

This guy did a scratch build of a drilling rig and kit bashed the truck. Not bad is it.

And this guy is new to N Gauge and it was his 1st attempt at weathering, boy did he get some stick. admittedly he could of taken the photo with a better background, but he should have put it on here 1st to get a far fairer point of view i feel.

Still i am not going to post anymore photo's on here, it's like banging my head against a brick wall, just going to leave them to it.
